Semuliki National Park

Semuliki National Park

Semuliki National Park Overview

Semuliki National Park is known for its tropical rainforest ecosystem, which is more similar to the Congo Basin than other Ugandan parks. It is home to unique bird species, hot springs, and diverse mammal species, including forest elephants and pygmy hippos.

The best time to visit is from June to September and December to February when the trails are less muddy.

Accommodation includes budget-friendly options such as Ntoroko Game Lodge and community-run campsites.

Visitors can explore the famous Sempaya Hot Springs, go on birdwatching excursions to spot rare forest species, and take guided walks through the park’s dense jungle.
